PURPOSE
​ WAVES - COMMUNITY - JESUS

Who we are: A surf community for homeschool teens (11-17) who love the ocean and love Jesus.
What we do: Meet up at the beach for surf sessions, bodyboarding, and bodysurfing, with time for devotionals, prayer and encouragement.
Why: To grow friendships, play in the waves, enjoy Gods creation, and live out Matthew 5;13-16 by being the "salt of the earth and "light of the world."

Thank you for supporting your surfer in joining the Salt & Light Surf Club. We are a homeschool community for ages 11–17, bringing together fun in the ocean , friendship, and faith in Jesus.
Our goal is to create a safe, fun, and encouraging space where students can grow in their skills, build friendships, and live out and grow in their faith.

Club Details
  • Who: Homeschoolers ages 11–17 who love to surf, bodyboard, or body surf
  • Where: Newport Pier Tower 22 (main meet-up) — other beaches may be scheduled
  • When: Fridays 9-11am 
  • What to Bring: whatever equipment you plan on using: Surfboard, boogieboard,
  • fins (if bodyboarding or bodysurfing), towel, sunscreen, and a water bottle.​
Safety Guidelines
  • A parent or guardian must remain at the beach during surf sessions.
  • All surfers must be able to swim confidently in the ocean.
  • Participants are responsible for bringing and caring for their own equipment.
  • Surf at your own ability — safety comes first.
